9’x14’6″ x10′ x 18’x22’x11 L Shaped Tiki Hut Construction in Port St Luce Fl

Are you looking to bring a tropical paradise to your backyard? A tiki hut with natural thatch roofing may be just what you need! We recently had the opportunity to work on a tiki hut project that was truly exceptional, featuring Natural Thatch roofing material. Here are the details of the project.

The tiki hut we built was connected to two separate areas, with an overall size of 9’x14’6″ x10′ on one side and 18’x22’x11 L shape on the other side. We created a 2-foot bumpout on the 18ft and 11ft sides to give it more depth and character. The natural thatch roofing material we used is a popular choice for its durability and long lifespan. We installed the thatch in layers to create a thicker, more textured roof that perfectly complements the surrounding landscape.

The tiki hut structure was made from pressure-treated pine, with seven 10″ round pressure-treated posts used to support the roof. We used 8″ round minimum pressure-treated pine beams that were sanded down to provide a smooth finish, while the rafters were made from 5″ minimum pressure-treated pine that was also sanded down. To complete the structure, we used 3″ x 4″ pressure-treated southern yellow pine timbers for purlins.

The installation process for this project took 2 days, as we worked closely with the homeowner to ensure that every detail of the project was executed to perfection. We made sure to complete the project on time and within budget.

In conclusion, the Natural Thatch roofing material provided a unique and natural look that complements the surrounding landscape. The pressure-treated pine structure was strong and long-lasting, making this tiki hut a perfect addition to the backyard.
